For your convenience, our most common customer questions are answered right here.
Do you offer Telehealth?
Yes, I am offering telehealth only. I use a HIPAA-compliant video platform. Clients must be in the state of Iowa during sessions. Check with your insurance to make sure they cover telehealth at 100%.
Do you take new clients?
Yes, via telehealth only.
Do you work with children?
I work primarily with adults, but under certain conditions I may accept a pre-teen or teenager. Contact me if you would like services for a person in this age group.
Do you work with couples?
Usually not, but exceptions may apply. Contact me for more information. I do work on relationships, but with one of the partners.
How often do I see you?
We will determine how frequently we meet depending upon your goals and needs. Usually, clients come once a week until enough progress has been achieved to space out the sessions to every other week, monthly or some other interval.
What are your hours?
Sessions are by appointment only. They are from 10 AM to 5 PM on business days.
Do you take insurance?
I take Blue Cross/Blue Shield only. Note that if you have Blue Cross/Blue Shield, but your primary insurance is Medicare, services won’t be covered. For other insurances, I can provide a receipt that you can send to your insurance company for reimbursement.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask that you give me at least 24h notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. There are late cancellation fees and No Show fees.
Would you come to my home for a session?
Yes, but out-of-office sessions may not be covered by your Health Insurance. Call your insurance first. If your insurance does not cover out-of-office sessions, you will have to pay out-of-pocket plus a mileage fee.
Can you do sessions by phone?
I can but insurance does not usually cover therapy by phone. Check with your insurance first.
